That is because there is no nice application using it.
There were a lot of discussions and requests to build a simple and immediately
useful "Featurephone" client based on FSO, but that never happened.
Anyways it could be better to bring Andreas Kemnades SimpleGSMGUI into Debian
than FSO back.

The next question is why this happens? And how this can happen without asking the users (us)?
Why is oFono still maintained and has wider interest? By whom and on which devices?
Maybe by N900 and Sebastian...
Does it support GTA04 at all?
