I'm surprised you can't find that by a bit of searching. It's been
observed and discussed several times previously.

  root at neo:~# uname -a
  Linux neo 3.5.0-gta04-qtmoko-v49 #1 PREEMPT Thu Nov 15 18:04:45 UTC 2012 armv7l GNU/Linux
  root at neo:~# ls -l /dev/input/
  total 0
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 accel -> event1
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 aux -> event5
  drwxr-xr-x 2 root root    140 Dec  1 17:49 by-path
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 64 Dec  1 17:49 event0
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 65 Dec  1 17:49 event1
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 66 Dec  1 17:49 event2
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 67 Dec  1 17:49 event3
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 68 Dec  1 17:49 event4
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 69 Dec  1 17:49 event5
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 70 Dec  1 17:49 event6
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 incoming -> event6
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 jack -> event4
  crw------- 1 root root 13, 32 Dec  1 17:49 mouse0
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 power -> event2
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 rumble -> event3
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 Dec  1 17:49 touchscreen -> event0
  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      9 Dec  1 17:49 uinput -> ../uinput

In other words:

- touchscreen is (usually) event0, not event1, so your xorg.conf needs
  correcting

- if you have the attached udev rules installed, you can use meaningful
  names instead of eventN.
