Let me just make a few quick remarks about plasma-mobile (former
PlasmaActive). I tried to make that one work a long time ago, but to
limited success.
- Maliit onscreen keyboard always had wrong orientation
- OpenGL-ES was really hard to get working
Back then the way to go was simply porting the Mer distribution to the
GTA04. But I had more success building PA for openSUSE arm, which gave
the exact same experience.
PA was working okay without accelerated GL-ES for some parts; Other
parts such as the webbrowser however were heavily relying on GLES2 and
crashed all the time. It does not look like we will ever have
accelerated OpenGL on future kernels, so software-rendering will have to do.

Porting Plasma-Mobile should be no different from PA: take a distro of
choice, build kde and plasma-mobile; done
