I have again experimented with the 4.3 kernel.
Now the problem shows up again.
This time I had a kernel with dynamic debug enabled.
dmesg output is here:
http://misc.andi.de1.cc/dmesg-no-lcd-dyndebug
Display was ok after the suspend stuff. I have seen the problem also without suspend.
Problem was definitively there at 6000.
I enabled dyndebug. First I tried tapping on the touchscreen.
Then I restarted the xserver.
http://misc.andi.de1.cc/xlog-diff
shows the diff between Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old stripped
by the timings. I do not know whether there is any connection to that problem but...
Here are some interesting lines:
(II) OMAP(0): Output None-1 using monitor section lcd
(II) OMAP(0): Output None-2 has no monitor section
- (II) OMAP(0): No remaining probed modes for output None-1
- (II) OMAP(0): Printing probed modes for output None-2
- (II) OMAP(0): Modeline "480x640"x65.7 22.15 480 504 512 520 640 644 646 648 -hsync -vsync (42.6 kHz eP)
- (II) OMAP(0): Output None-1 disconnected
- (II) OMAP(0): Output None-2 connected
+ (II) OMAP(0): No remaining probed modes for output None-2
+ (II) OMAP(0): Output None-1 connected
+ (II) OMAP(0): Output None-2 disconnected
(II) OMAP(0): Using exact sizes for initial modes
- (II) OMAP(0): Output None-2 using initial mode 480x640
+ (II) OMAP(0): Output None-1 using initial mode 480x640
(II) OMAP(0): Using default gamma of (1.0, 1.0, 1.0) unless otherwise stated.
(II) OMAP(0): Got KMS resources
(**) OMAP(0): Display dimensions: (43, 57) mm
- (II) OMAP(0): Setting screen physical size to 127 x 169
+ (II) OMAP(0): Setting screen physical size to 43 x 57
None-1 and None-2 are swapped. The monitor section seems only to belong to
None-1. The diplay dimensions are equal but not the physical screen size.
I tried to reboot, but uboot failed
to re-initialize the display properly.
Powering off helped again..
