I think underscores are ok there, ":" is used in alsa apps to denote HW
devices.

This looks like pulseaudio is really the problem here. Could you try removing
all pulseaudio packages from the system - it'd suggest to do this on testing
rootfs because it could break QtMoko.
Another way is to setup BT headset through pulse audio. I did it on desktop
using pavucontrol - this could be a bit tricky on GTA04, because it needs X
server and it didnt work well for me.

I used Jabra BT650s which is headset with mic.
