comment out the device tree nodes for the wi2wi chips. Or delete their kernel modules from the SD card (I think the drivers are not configured to be built into the kernel to keep it as small as possible).

HDQ allows to read the real charging status and current consumption from the fuel gauge (bq27000 chip) built into the battery. So that if you swap the batteries the system displays the status of the new battery. But it is not required for charging to work.
