Hello all,

I spent  a little time with the new kernel today.  I noticed an error 
message (can't find the exact text now) that complained about the lack 
of control groups and delayed booting for 10 seconds.  If this isn't 
some SHR specific thing, I can send a patch to the config enabling them.

Backlight dimming isn't working, maybe this is old.  It doesn't seem to 
be a userspace issue - writing stuff directly to the sysfs nodes 
doesn't  affect brightness.

The new kernel boots and usb networking works, so that makes it easier 
to work on things.  I don't know if I will get to do anything else with 
this this week.
