I successfully booted 3.16-rc3 tonight. The debug cable was very
useful, I doubt very much I would have figured out what was going on
without it. I had been trying to upgrade u-boot by updating the u-boot
files in an older image. It turns out I needed up update bootargs.scr
as well so the new u-boot would know to look for devicetree files.
My very limited observations show that:
splash screen (tux) doesn't display
device names have changed (I didn't grab the new udev rules yet)
touchscreen y axis has flipped again
Next time I get a chance I will recalibrate the touchscreen and spend a
little more time with it.
