i see the same messages filling up the log (btw: is there a way to disable  
those? they're not helping anyway), but using SHR's battery gadget w/  
"hardware": "internal" (as opposed to "auto" and "hal") produces a working  
battery applet in SHR.
not sure, what they do here, though, but maybe worth looking into? kernel  
is 3.4 fromSHR
