Yes, it really work (I've installed gcc and build-essential to compile
femtocom as written in first line of the source code).

But set to 1 ask to modem to connect only to 3G connections. I've just
seen that at my school the 3G connection is really bad, so it's better
to use there the 2G network.

As written last year in this thread[1], I'd prefer to set "AT_OPSYS=3,2"
so if 3G network is bad, the modem switch to 2G. Does anybody else uses
this configuration ?
