Btw i am now reading the GTA04 manual the section about powering off modem. 
This part is quite interesting:

"The module goes to low power mode (typically 3-10 mA) if the USB interface is 
shut down but remains active and can wake up the CPU through a 3G_WOE 
interrupt."

Is this low power mode automatically entered during suspend to ram?
