Why should this also affect the bitrate iwconfig shows (with 3.3 it
stays at 5.5Mb/s)?
But I doublechecked that points anyways again to be sure.
The unusual low rate was in different networks. And other devices work
there. So this points can be ruled out.

That was with WPA. But I'll set up another accesspoint for testing soon.
