It is not supported out of the box by existing software. Currently
only the bootloader can be uploaded using the serial line. It could
also be possible to transfer a kernel image (but I'm not sure). If
this works, you could boot a linux kernel with a initramfs. Then
configure the USB port for network access and copy your target system
to the flash memory.

But it might help to re-check all solder joints of the socket and
eventually bend the gold plated contact springs (be careful not to
brake them!). If you have a solder iron and know how to use it, try to
heat up all solder joints and apply a tiny bit of additional tin to
them. Maybe it helps.
