I have changed the last hunk of the second patch to:


+	if (enable_off_mode)
+		pwrst->next_state = PWRDM_POWER_OFF;
+	else
+		pwrst->next_state = PWRDM_POWER_RET;
+

And it boots fine on my 1GHz OpenPandora.
