Interesting. I did this:

iMac:master hns$ git diff letux-5.0 letux-5.1-rc1 -- arch/arm/boot/dts/omap3-gta04.dtsi
iMac:master hns$ git diff letux-5.0 letux-5.1-rc1 -- arch/arm/boot/dts/omap3-gta04a4.dts 
iMac:master hns$ git diff letux-5.0 letux-5.1-rc1 -- arch/arm/boot/dts/omap3.dts 
iMac:master hns$ git diff letux-5.0 letux-5.1-rc1 -- arch/arm/boot/dts/omap36xx.dts 
iMac:master hns$

So there are no obvious differences between dts...

I think we have to use the dtc to disassemble the binaries (sorted by node) and then
diff.
