I had really hoped that "runtime interpreted power sequences" would be ready
by now. Then I would change omap-serial to control one of those as the DTR
line rather than a GPIO, and then gpio-reg wouldn't be needed. But there
hasn't been any sign of development there since late last year.
I might ask the developer of that to see where it is at.
