It is still in the prototype phase and not in mass production.

Depends a lot on the software that is installed.

It is/will be produced in very small quantities because most people are bedazzled by cheap (sometimes subsidized) but non-free devices. Therefore we have not enough demand to drive down the price by getting better buying conditions for components and production.

> Is the driver for the touchscreen open/libre source?

Yes. It is the same as in the GTA04:
