No idea. I've heard of some project aiming at recoignizing body gestures
with 3D cameras, but I think it has nothing to do with what you need. 

Another nice application would be a toponomic viewer. You go on a sightseeing trip 
(walking, but not necessarily), 
and the GTA04 finds where you are by GPS, downloads topographical maps 
and builds a 3D model of the landscape around you. You "watch" the landscape
"throgh" your GTA04 screen and it's like looking through a window into a 
3D model where mountains, villages, rivers, etc. are labelled with their names.

I guess the 3D capabilities in GTA04 aren't very good with free software only, 
but I hope it's not that much work for the CPU to come up with a simple 
3d model and render it as you move the phone...
