Well, today I've done a double downgrade:

- in my QtMoko codebase, back to

  commit 936fdedada98960417c5cd1a9bdcbf01a4543108
Author: Radek Polak <psonek2 at seznam.cz>
  Date: Wed Jun 20 08:25:32 2012 +0200

nerongps - Neil's keyboard popup fix

- in my build, back to the "old way" (as described by
  https://github.com/radekp/qtmoko) toolchain, and using
  -force-build-qt.

The result is that my battery seems to be discharging at a normal slow
rate again. (With the default Finxi theme, I still have all 5 battery
bars after 3.5 hours mostly in suspend. Whereas after upgrading as
above, I would have lost at least half the battery in the same time.)

So I think my battery is OK, and that there's definitely a problem
somewhere in the recent codebase and/or toolchain changes.

     Neil
