When I built, I did "./configure -force-build-qt -device gta04".
Perhaps that might work better for you?

Also, please make sure you have a tracking branch for "master_gta04",
and have done a "git checkout master_gta04", before beginning to build.

(ISTR that there are a couple of different places advising how to build
QtMoko, and unfortunately they don't quite say the same things.)
