Sounds to be the daemon/tool we are looking for.
It can be found in package alsa-util of Debian wheezy (testing).

Note that for the GTA04A4 boards there is hardware routing
available (in addition).

But having good soft routing can also have a lot of benefits
(recording, mixing, DSP filtering, distributing to Bluetooth headset).
