Well, the GTA04 is intended to be distribution-agnostic and leave it to you what
you install. It does NOT want to come with some predecision.
This of course means that the hardware and the kernel works and does not
need strange workarounds.

Maybe it is simply not well known: QtMoko works quite completely in almost
all important features (phone calls, SMS, internet, player).
The only major hurdle is suspend which is not a problem of any
distribution but a (still buggy) kernel feature.
Very stable is Debian (but there is no good GUI for any phone functionality).
