Can someone help me to verify that I soldered it correctly?
Looking from the cable side I have on the top from left to right:
nothing, blue, yellow, nothing, brown
bottom from left to right: nothing, green, orange, red

(According to the table green and orange have to be swapped but I
followed the picture)

Does it matter to what pin the red cable is connected? Possible are
pins 1, 4 and 9. According to the manual: "Which one you choose
depends on your application." Does this affect the booting or do I
have to select a special setting in my terminal program (minicom)?

I chose the files from 20111116-GTA04A3-HW-Tester:

No, nothing. The only sign of life is the background light of the
display. So I know at least that the battery is full. Should the LEDs
stay dark during start?

I also changed flow control from

hardware: yes
software: no

to

hardware: no
software: yes

without luck (did I disable RTC/CTS handshaking this way?).
