Yes.

Unfortunately no. The A3 board had an unfixable design flaw (it was our first variant that worked almost)
that prevented us to turn off the modem. Unless somebody finds a hidden AT command with the same
effect (I just know AT_ORESET but that keeps it powered on) and a method to wake it up again.
The A5 board will also fix the RS232/IrDA issue.
