Ok,
the first level goal has already been hit: we are beyond 5000 EUR.

Thank you very much for your support!

Now, we promise to start to work on the schematics, identification of components and initial mechanical PCB design asap.

My idea about this is that we replace the "paper-PCBs" shown in the video with real PCBs that mechanically fit and already
have some basic functionality.

The idea is to do them in 4 layers (to reduce initial cost), and not yet address the complex CPU, EMI, thermal things.

So ideally the prototype will carry an UMTS/LTE modem, connect it to the battery and USB connector
and we get sort of an external UMTS key in a N900 case :)

With this approach we can check the footprints and replacements if they fit into the space and if they are easily solderable:
* USB connector
* UMTS/LTE module
* antenna connectors
* headset jack connectors
* pushbuttons (incl. 2-level for camera)
* SIM reader
* Vibramotor
* IR LED
* microphone
* Board to Board connectors for CPU/Display board

If there are no major problems, it appears feasible to show something during the OHSW.org workshop end of November.

BR,
Nikolaus
