Hi all,
after a long time, here it is: the fundraising campaign for the GTA04A5:

http://shop.goldelico.com/wiki.php?page=GTA04A5

For those not exactly aware about the discussions of the GTA04A5 here some background
information:

* the last design that was in production 1 year ago was the revision GTA04A4
* this did fulfill all previous orders, but there was nothing left for more demand
* but there was also not enough demand to build another batch (because we need to
build at least 100 units so that the one-time cost does not kill it)
* and in the meantime, some components have reached end of life, which requires us to
produce a redesign instead of just continuing
* but we can't redesign everything, only some new features and replacement components
* so there will be no different (touch) display, not more RAM, no quad core CPU, no LTE,
  no bigger battery

For details what the GTA04A5 offers, please refer to the page mentioned above.

One more word about the idea to replace the UMTS modem by a newer one.
Unfortunately it turned out that the PHS8 we had looked at is bigger than the GTM601
we have and therefore it does not fit. So we will stick with the GTM601 in the GTA04A5 board.

Now - unlesss you own a GTA01 or GTA02 waiting to be upgraded -,you may wonder
how you can get to a complete device( i.e. a Letux 2804).

Finally we have found some solution (at least for a small quantity):

we were able to buy back a bunch of used GTA02 devices from a project that we can
now offer for upgrades to GTA04:

http://shop.goldelico.com/wiki.php?page=Used%20Neo%20Freerunner

If you buy such a device now, this includes a voucher of 80 EUR towards buying
a GTA04A5 (if it becomes available).

So we have prepared everything. Now it is up to you, the community, to take or
decline this offer of continuing the GTA04 story.

Please spread the news as far as possible.

BR,
Nikolaus
