Hi all,
there is now a new stable "Production" image (Debian/LXDE and 3.7 kernel) for
NAND flash which has almost the same features and maturity level of the old
hw-validation kernel but adds many more goodies.

This allows to declare the end of development of the old 2.6.32 hw-validation kernel
and system.

All sources and binaries will remain archived (stable links) on the server for reference.
Who knows what it might be good for...

The new kernel is the latest neil-plus kernel and adds as the key feature UBIFS support
so that the whole Kernel/Debian/LXDE can now be flashed to NAND. In addition it
supports PVR/SGX and (very alpha) the camera.

Everyone is encouraged to upgrade the boot system and NAND image. And report
bugs and suggest enhancements. The installation process has been simplified by
providing a big dd.gz image so that it handles SD card partitioning for you.

For details, please read the announcement on the gta04-owner list.

AFAIK the GTA04 is now the only smart handheld device that is being shipped or
easily upgraded to a Linux as modern as 3.7 and Debian stable.
