[Community] Thoughts about announcements of OSX 10.9 and iOS 7

The main point I have read from all the reports is that (besides
cleaning up GUI and harmonizing icons) is that they focus
on power efficiency.

By some interesting technologies. E.g. not swapping to disk
but compressing rarely memory pages to get more space.

IMHO something the Linux Kernels should also think about.

This would allow us to extend the battery life of our devices.
