Hi,
v4.16.14 arrived and I looked through the patches (did not compile or test).

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/log/?h=v4.16.14

Some are a little scary that they fix such fundamental things like memory management...

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?h=v4.16.14&id=4f6597fb03344ced4a8ca4931f3026e3eb76cada

I don't know if we are affected by this at all and if it has been fixed in v4.17.0, but such upstream
bugs could be e.g. reasons for our strcmp(NULL) problem.

BR,
Nikolaus
