I don't know yet.
The problem might be caused by another patch we have in the gta04 tree -
the one that partially enables 'off-mode'.

I need to dig into what is really happening in get_context_loss_count
and try to see if removing my off-mode patch also makes the problem go away.
But I've been busy with other things.
